Brief Description:  Elevator linkage

I initially thought I could connect the altitude hold DigiTrak servo to the aft elevator rod attachment point, but there was too much throw on the servo when the elevator was at its limits. I added a new servo connection point lower on the idler rod. Now the servo doesn't go beyond ~45 degrees from vertical with full travel in each direction of the elevator.

Installed cotter pins on all the connections at the idler rod.

I had temporary non-locking 1/4-28 nuts on the engine mount, so replaced those with the AN363-428 nuts called out on P01 detail A.

Installed the nose strut fairing and all the screws on the nosewheel pant. Installed the axle cotter pin.

Measured the prop pitch set with the #5 pin (#0-#5 available). Using a digital level set against the back of the blades at 7" from the tip, the angle was 21.1 degrees from vertical on both blades.

Had a visit from Mitch Garner, recent purchaser Bob Garrabrant's Onex #37 kit and RV12 builder, and Jeff Mandeville, the local DAR, both of Falmouth Airpark. Jeff was on an unofficial visit and was interested in see/trying-on the Onex. We rolled N531X out into the driveway, dropped the wings, and let Jeff try out the cockpit. A snug fit for Jeff. Jeff has a hanger at his house, so wingspan is not a problem and he would probably love the center stick Sonex Sport Acro with more room and more payload.
